Hugh Mason

Hugh Mason is a successful entrepreneur, mentor and investor. Born in the UK and now living in Singapore, he connects people, communities and cash to make ideas real.

In 2001, Hugh co-founded Pembridge Partners in London to provide finance and advice to marketing, media and technology businesses. Pembridge raised or directly invested US$50m. Along the way, Hugh mentored over 300 innovative ideas, people and companies. Hugh relocated to Singapore in January 2009 and co-founded JFDI.Asia, a seed accelerator that takes groups of new digital entrepreneurs from startup to seed investment in 100 days.

Alfred Lo

Alfred has spent 10 years helping businesses with their online strategies and the challenges emerging from disruptive and converging markets. Having worked in PwC and EDS’ e-business consulting arms across Asia and completed his MBA at AGSM and NYU-Stern, Alfred moved into corporate development and technology commercialisation roles.

Prior to joining Optus, Alfred co-founded hyperlocal mobile startup Axle8 in addition to running his own web and mobile app development agency. Today, a large portion of his time is spent meeting with and providing guidance and mentorship to early-stage tech startups.

Matt Macfarlane

Matt has been both an investor and an entrepreneur in early stage ICT startups. 

Having spent 11 years in Europe working on large-scale international mergers and acquisitions, Matt returned to Australia and co-founded the Web 2.0 start-up Vibe Capital, launched the website and raising over $2.7m in funding in 2006. 

Matt is a Co-Founder and Investment Director of Perth-based Yuuwa Capital and has a particular interest in technology investments including software, web-based businesses and mobile communications. He currently holds eight directorships including with Yuuwa investee companies: iCetana (video analytics), Agworld (Cloud SaaS for farm management), Filter Squad (iOS apps) and Dealised (loyalty solutions).

Sheryl Frame

Sheryl has worked in diverse public and private sector business and industry, including resources, healthcare, biometrics and IT. She maintains positions on the Executive Board of Australian Women in IT, Science and Engineering (AWISE), as Vice President since 2008, and as Secretary of Women in Technology WA (WITWA) since 2006.

Sheryl began her career studying physiotherapy at the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa but moved quickly into the technology sector, initially with a start-up software company, and later with IBM where she had varied roles – initially on the technical side as a systems engineer and programmer, and later in sales, marketing and management.

Marc Loveridge

Marc has a long standing relationship with digital media. In 2002 he co-founded Perth's first digital marketing agency, Market United, that attracted an enviable list of clients including Virgin Mobile, BankWest and IKEA. Having sold his stake in 2007, Marc served out a period as Head of Strategy for the parent group before leaving in 2010 to form Adapptor, a specialist mobile applications developer. Stefan Korn
